Divisional Goals

Food & Beverage

Waste Reduction:

Glacier Park Inc. is in the planning stages for waste reduction within our restaurants and bars. The areas of focus are bottles and paper products, grease and compost.

Bottles:
New designs have been submitted to expand tap rooms and tap lines for the increase in draught selections for beer and sodas to eliminate thousands of pounds of bottled glass from entering the waste cycle.

Paper Products:
To eliminate paper products from the waste stream Glacier Park Inc. has gone as far as supplying each and every employee with their own personal lidded drinking cups. The future also calls for streamlining “to-go items” into one size packaging made from green products. All order guides will not allow any more paper products to be ordered. Employee dining areas will no longer be supplied with paper products; napkins excluded.

Grease:
Studies have begun on the feasibility of grease recycling, from on-site recyclers for the usage of the by products such as Bio-diesel and Glycerin.

Compost:
Compost plans center around supporting the construction of regional compost facilities, or initiating the use of a remote composting degradable waste reduction system. GPI will pursue the concepts of using Earth Tubs, mulching units in our kitchen disposers or “ecologically intelligent” materials, GPI is on the lookout to identify the best viable resource to eliminate and/or degrade waste.
