Built between 1926-1927, Prince of Wales Hotel is located in Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada. It overlooks picturesque Upper Waterton Lake and the township of Waterton. This stately hotel, named after Prince Edward, offers 86 guest rooms and a traditional British atmosphere complete with afternoon tea, fine dining, lounge and distinctive gift shop.
The hotel was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 1992 with Plaque status granted in 1995.

Prince of Wales Hotel is a smoke free, six-story facility with designated outdoor smoking areas.
Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m and the checkout time is 11:00 a.m.
All rooms are rustic yet comfortable with double and/or twin beds and a private bathroom.
All rooms are accessed via stairs and are sold based on view or room size. An antique elevator is available for floors 2 through 4.
There are no ADA accessible rooms available at Prince of Wales Hotel.
Lakeside rooms face Waterton Lake and are located on floors two through four.
Standard rooms have varying views of the surrounding mountainous scenery and are located on floors two through four.
Value Lakeside and Value Standard rooms are smaller in size and located on floors 5 and 6 (stair access only to Value rooms from 4th floor).
Suites are elegant lakeside rooms with king bed, shared balcony, full bath, sitting room and wet bar are located on the third floor.
Groups, weddings and reunions welcome with advance notice.
The self parking lot is located a short walk from the hotel.
Prince of Wales Hotel is located just across from the Visitor Centre on the entrance road into Waterton.

The Royal Stewart Dining Room offers fine Old World and Continental Canadian dining at the lobby level of this picturesque hotel. Enjoy a frosty pint of Canadian micro-brew beer or glass of wine during lunch and dinner.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The restaurant boasts casual attire, seats on a first come first served basis and does not accept reservations. Children’s menus and box lunches are available.
Valerie’s Afternoon Tea
Experience ancient panoramic vistas where Canadian Rocky Mountains and sparkling blue waters of Waterton Lakes collide. From this vantage point in Valerie’s Tea Room, participate in traditional Afternoon Tea service with fresh baked pastries and delicate dainties. Afternoon Tea is a highlight of the Waterton Park experience blending the wild and sophisticated into one. Teatime is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and reservations are recommended.
Windsor Lounge
The Windsor Lounge features spectacular views, traditional English fare and a full bar, making this a relaxing place to review the day. It is open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight offering lunch and dinner menu items. Television is available.
