HR Internship Program

The Glacier Park, Inc. HR Internship Program introduces selected candidates to the world of seasonal Human Resources within the GPI People & Culture department. 
 
This program provides students an opportunity to use and develop a variety of skills and functions within the HR Body of Knowledge on a daily basis.

HR Internship Essential Functions:

  • The Intern position plays a critical role in a variety of HR functions including, but not limited to: new hire arrivals, on-boarding & orientation, processing of large volumes of employee data, involvement with employee relations and providing employee communications, support to operating divisions and a host of other responsibilities.
  • Interns will gain a variety of practical skills & experiences useful toward satisfying their educational requirements while expanding their current skill sets. 
  • Interns will spend the majority of their day overseeing the check-in office, interacting and communicating with employees and potential candidates. 
  • Interns will also, on occasion, travel to other properties providing support, counseling and encouragement to seasonal management and staff. 
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, extreme attention to detail, honesty, integrity and confidentiality are mandatory requirements.
  • Interns must commit to a consecutive 16-20 week internship between May and September.
  • Work schedules typically include 32-50 hour work weeks.
  • All qualified Interns are provided on-site housing & meals, as well as other benefits. 
 
HR Internship Qualifications:
 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. 
  • A letter of recommendation from your professional or academic institution
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Commitment to a consecutive 16-20 week internship
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally in all settings
