Glacier Park, Inc. operates nine hotels in and around Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park including over one dozen food and beverage outlets, multiple retail outlets, a golf pro-shop/course, and interpretive “Red Bus” Tours; all providing a variety of exciting seasonal employment opportunities.

Our seasonal positions begin as early as mid-May and as late as mid-June with closing dates between Labor Day and the end of September. Candidates who are available for the entire season will be given preference when being considered for a position.

Food & Beverage

Global Restaurant Operations Trainer

Trains Restaurant Managers at all locations on a rotating or as needed basis. Assists in training Servers/Attendants at all locations. Also assists with banquets and covers restaurant shifts when needed. Previous Restaurant Manager/Trainer experience and driver’s license required. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Dining Room Manager

Manages and trains Assistant Managers, Servers and Attendants in a restaurant setting. Managerial duties include scheduling, assisting with guest needs, handling difficult situations with employees or guests when needed, assisting servers during busy times, regulating communication between the dining room and kitchen staff, inventory and ordering, completing shift paperwork, and various other duties as needed. Previous F & B Management experience required. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Assistant Dining Room Manager

Assists Dining Room Manager in training and managing Servers and Attendants. Acts as Manager in the absence of Dining Room Manager. Assists servers/attendants in day-to-day operations, assists guests, completes shift paperwork, and any other duties assigned by the Dining Room Manager. Previous Restaurant Management, Lead or Serving experience required. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Lead Waitstaff / Server

The Lead Server is responsible for assisting Servers and Attendants in day-to-day operations. When there is no Manager present the Lead will be considered the Manager on Duty. This may include opening or closing the restaurant, dealing with guest or employee concerns, completing shift paperwork, and various other duties as needed. 2 – 4 years previous Lead or Waitstaff experience required. Compensation: US $8.65 per hour, plus tips.

Waitstaff / Server

Servers are responsible for waiting on guests in a friendly and courteous manner. Servers may also be required to assist Attendants when necessary, as well as assisting with Banquets/Events. Other responsibilities will include cash handling with efficiency and accuracy and balancing receipts at shift end, and various other duties as needed. Previous Serving experience required: 2 – 4 years for Lodges, 1 year for Motor Inns. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips / CDN $9.05 per hour, plus tips.

Breakfast / Lunch Server

Breakfast/Lunch Servers are responsible for Breakfast and Lunch Service to guests in our Lodge Dining Rooms. Must be willing to work early morning shifts. Other duties include cash handling with efficiency and accuracy, assisting attendants as needed, maintaining stock on the breakfast buffet, and various other duties as needed. Previous Serving experience required. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips.

Tea / Breakfast Server (Prince of Wales Hotel only)

Tea/Breakfast Servers are responsible for Breakfast and Lunch service within our Dining Room at the Prince of Wales Hotel in Waterton, AB. They are also responsible for Afternoon Tea Service where they will serve tea and baked goods to guests. Required to handle cash accurately and may also be required to bus tables as needed. Previous Serving experience required. Compensation: CDN $9.05 per hour, plus tips.

Dining Room Attendant

Dining Room Attendants play many roles in the operations of our restaurants and dining rooms. Duties include hosting, bussing tables, and running food. In many locations, the Attendant may serve as both a Host and Busser and assist guests with takeout orders. Other responsibilities will include cash handling with efficiency and accuracy and balancing receipts at shift end and various other duties as needed. Previous customer service experience or restaurant experience helpful, but not required. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips / CDN $9.05 per hour, plus tips.

Bar Manager

Bar Managers will train and manage all Bar Staff, as well as work as a Bartender/Cocktail Server in the Bar/Lounge. Responsible for ordering, inventory and inventory control of all Beer, Wine, and Liquor, as well as, cash handling, drawer balancing, shift paperwork, handling guest and employee issues and concerns in a courteous and tactful manner, scheduling and other duties as needed. Previous Bar Manager or Lead experience required. Compensation: US $10 per hour, plus tips & incentives / CDN Salary, plus tips & incentives.

Bartender / Cocktail Server

Bartender/Cocktail Servers will make alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as serve food to guests in a fast-paced, high-volume Bar/Lounge atmosphere. All Bartenders will be required to serve tables within the lounge and may or may not be responsible for bussing tables, restocking, prep for daily bar operations, cash handling and drawer balancing with accuracy, and various other duties as needed. Bartenders will also serve as the service bar for the Dining Room Staff. 1-2 years previous Bartending/Serving experience required. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips / CDN $9.05 per hour, plus tips.

Cocktail Server

Cocktail Servers will be responsible for serving cocktails and food within our Bars/Lounges. They will also be responsible for bussing tables, running food, balancing all transactions, and various other duties as needed. Cocktail servers should expect a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Previous Serving Experience required. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips / CDN $9.05 per hour, plus tips. Compensation: US - $7.35 per hour, plus tips / CDN - $8.80 per hour, plus tips.

Coffee Shop Manager

Coffee Shop Managers will train and manage all Coffee Shop Staff, as well as work as a Barista. Responsible for ordering, inventory and inventory control, as well as, cash handling, shift paperwork, handling guest and employee issues and concerns in a courteous and tactful manner, scheduling and other duties as needed. Previous Management or Lead experience, as well as Barista experience required. Compensation: US DOE, plus tips & incentives.

Coffee Shop Assistant Manager

Assists Manager with training and managing of Coffee Shop Staff. Works as a Barista and acts as Manager in his/her absence. Responsible for cash handling, shift paperwork, handling guest and employee issues and concerns in a courteous and tactful manner, and other duties as needed. Previous Management or Lead experience, as well as Barista experience required. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour, plus tips & incentives.

Barista / Attendant

Baristas are responsible for making coffee drinks, operating a cash register with efficiency and accuracy, and various other duties as needed. Baristas will be required to work early morning shifts. At some locations, Baristas may also be required to work as Dining Room Attendants, perform basic food preparation, maintain retail inventory, or work in outdoor conditions. Previous Barista experience is required. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips. Compensation: $7.35 per hour, plus tips.

Event Staff

Event Staff are responsible for assisting with events & banquets. Serving Event Staff will be responsible for set up/tear down, serving, bussing, and providing general guest service to our event patrons. Kitchen Event Staff will be responsible for assisting in food preparation for events and set up/tear-down of events. Previous Serving or Banquet Serving experience required for Event Servers. Previous kitchen experience helpful, but not required for Event Kitchen Staff. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tip share.

Executive Sous Chef

Executive Sous Chefs train all Kitchen managers, EDR managers, and kitchen staff at all locations on a rotating or as needed basis. Assist with banquets and covering staff shortages when necessary. Previous Kitchen Manager/Trainer or Executive Chef Experience required. Driver’s license required. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Location Chef

Location Chefs are the Managing Chefs at each location. They are responsible for training and cross training staff on technique, safety, sanitation, and all basic duties needed to make a kitchen operate smoothly. Responsible for designing and producing daily specials. Will work on the line to ensure quality product and to provide on-going staff training. They are also responsible for inventory, ordering, scheduling, handling employee concerns and situations in a respectful and tactful manner. Previous Kitchen Management experience required. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives / CDN Salary, plus incentives.

Sous Chef

Sous Chefs are responsible for management duties when the Location Chef is not present. Responsible for employee management, communication between kitchen and dining room, expediting, prep lists, assisting all kitchen staff with training needs, ensuring proper sanitation, safety, and all other duties assigned by location Chefs. May also be responsible for some inventory, ordering, and stocking of product. Previous Sous Chef/Kitchen Management experience required. Compensation: US $12.50 per hour, plus incentives / CDN Salary, plus incentives.

First Cook

First Cooks are responsible for maintaining the flow of the kitchen line. They may be responsible for various stations such as sauté, grill, fryer, broiler, pantry, dish washing etc. First Cooks will also be responsible for prep duties and maintaining standards of sanitation & safety. First Cooks will serve as Leads for kitchen staff such as Second Cooks and Dishwashers when no Location or Sous Chef is present. Previous Line Cook experience required. Compensation: US $10 per hour / CDN $12.50 per hour.

Second Cook

Second Cooks are responsible for Prep and Pantry work in the kitchen. They will prep fruits/vegetables, salads, and desserts, and will work on the pantry line at most locations. Second Cooks may also be responsible for cross training with the First Cooks on the line, washing dishes and maintaining standards of sanitation & safety. Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but not required. Compensation: US $7.75 per hour / CDN $10.50 per hour.

Pastry Chef

Pastry Chefs are responsible for all baked goods served in our dining rooms and other outlets. He/she will prepare desserts, pastries, cookies, strudels, and other baked goods from scratch. At some locations, will be responsible for training and managing pastry department, including an Assistant Pastry Chef and bakers. Complies with all sanitation & safety regulations and report to the Location Chef. Previous Pastry experience required. Compensation: US $12.50 per hour / CDN Salary DOE.

Assistant Pastry Chef

Assistant Pastry Chefs are responsible for all baked goods served in our dining rooms and other outlets. He/she will prepare desserts, pastries, cookies, strudels, and other baked goods from scratch. At some locations, will be responsible for assisting Pastry Chef in training and managing baking staff. Complies with all sanitation & safety regulations. Previous Pastry experience required. Compensation: US $11 per hour / CDN Salary DOE.

Baker

Bakers are responsible for all baked goods served in our dining rooms and other outlets. He/she will assist in preparation of desserts, pastries, cookies, strudels, and other baked goods from scratch. Complies with all sanitation & safety regulations. Previous Pastry experience preferred, but not required. Compensation: US $9 per hour.

Dishwasher

Dishwashers are responsible for making sure that all dishes, glasses, pots, pans, etc. are washed and sanitized in a timely manner for continued use in our Dining Rooms, Kitchens, and Employee Dining Rooms. May also be responsible for cross training with Second Cooks and adhering to sanitation & safety requirements. Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but not required. Compensation: US $7.75 per hour / CDN $10.50 per hour.

Storeroom Attendant

The Storeroom Attendant is responsible for ordering and inventory control of perishable and non-perishable items for all divisions of Food and Beverage. He/she will work closely with the Locations Chef, Dining Room Manager, and other F & B Managers to ensure accuracy. Works in both warm and cold temperatures. Previous inventory management experience required. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour / CDN $15 per hour.

Employee Dining Room Manager

Employee Dining Room Managers are responsible for the preparation of 3 meals per day to feed anywhere from 60-250 employees. Will train all EDR staff in technique, safety, sanitation, and all other duties needed to make sure employees are fed quality, nutritious meals in a timely manner. May follow a meal plan and ensure inventory and ordering of all items needed. Supervises EDR Cooks and EDR Attendants. Previous Kitchen Management, Banquet, EDR, or other relevant experience required. Compensation: US $12.50 per hour, plus incentives.

Employee Dining Room Cook

EDR Cooks will be responsible for the preparation of 3 meals per day to feed anywhere from 60-250 employees. Will maintain sanitation & safety standards and will prepare quality and nutritious meals for employees. May follow a meal plan and also do some ordering and inventory. EDR Cooks at smaller properties will report to the Location Chef and to the EDR Manager at larger properties. Previous line cook experience is required and banquet kitchen experience is helpful, but not required. Compensation: US $10 per hour / CDN $12.50 per hour.

Employee Dining Room Attendant

EDR Attendants will be responsible for serving meals to employees in the EDR. They are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the Employee Dining Room. Other duties may include washing dishes, restocking items in the EDR, and some prep work. Previous kitchen experience is helpful, but not required. Compensation: US $7.75 per hour / CDN $10.50 per hour.

Retail

Gift Shop / Camp Store Manager

Manager is responsible for maintaining and increasing sales and profitability of the retail store. Responsible for training and supervision of retail staff, ordering, inventory, cash control, and all duties and aspects of retail store management. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Assistant Gift Shop / Camp Store Manager

Assists Store Manager in assuring that all retail sales transactions are completed in a friendly and correct manner. Assist in the training and leadership of retail store staff, ordering, inventory, cash control, and all duties and aspects of retail store management. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Retail Associate

Retail Associate greets & assists customers. Operates cash register with accurate and efficient accounting of all transactions. Sells, stocks, prices and inventories all merchandise. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity / CDN $9.85 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Rooms Division

Front Office Manager

Front Office Manager trains, coordinates, schedules and supervises Front Office activities and staff, including resolution of problems arising from guest complaints, reservations, room assignments, or unusual requests/inquiries. Provides information to guests and staff in a courteous, enthusiastic, and efficient manner. Uses SMS guest registration system. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Assistant Front Office Manager

Assists the Front Office Manager in training coordinating and managing Front Office activities and staff, including resolution of problems arising from guest complaints, reservations, room assignments, or unusual requests/inquiries. Provides information to guests and staff in a courteous, enthusiastic, and efficient manner. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Front Office Associate

Front Office Associate checks guests in and out of hotel/motor inn in a courteous, enthusiastic, and efficient manner. Handles money, guest inquiries/complaints, telephone switchboard and provides friendly, efficient, and professional service. Compensation: US $8.15 / $8.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity / CDN $10.75 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Housekeeping Manager

Housekeeping Manager trains and manages housekeeping staff. Ensures that highest quality standards are met with clean, orderly and properly stocked guestrooms and public areas, while controlling amenity and linen supplies/quantities, labor, and hotel inspections. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives / CDN Salary, plus incentives.

Assistant Housekeeping Manager

Assists Housekeeping Manager in training and managing housekeeping staff. Ensures the highest quality standards are met in clean, orderly, and properly stocked guest rooms and public areas. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour, plus incentives / CDN Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Room Attendant

Room Attendants are responsible for daily guest room and public area cleaning with attention to detail to ensure highest quality standards are maintained. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity / CDN $10.25 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Houseperson

Housepersons ensures heavy duties connected with the upkeep and readying of guest accommodations are met with attention to detail. Assists Room Attendants with cleaning when necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity / CDN $10.25 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Porter

Porter maintains all public hotel areas, indoors and outdoors. May run errands, perform assigned tasks for Housekeeping and Location Manager, and assist in other departments or with other job duties as necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Dorm Attendant

Dorm Attendant maintains clean dormitories and common areas for our employees. Ensures highest quality standards are maintained. Assists with other job duties as necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity / CDN $10.25 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Bell Captain

Bell Captain supervises the Bell Staff. Ensures courteous and proper greeting and reception of all guests. Escorts guests to their rooms. Carries luggage to guest rooms. Cleans public areas and rest rooms. Assists employees in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary. Compensation: US $8.65 per hour, plus tips, tour gratuity, and incentives / CDN $9.90 per hour, plus tips, tour gratuity, and incentives.

Bellperson

Bellperson ensures courteous greeting/reception of all guests. Carries luggage while escorting guests to their rooms. Cleans public areas & rest rooms and assists in other departments or with other job duties as necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tips and tour gratuity / CDN $9.40 per hour, plus tips and tour gratuity.

Assistant Laundry Manager

Assistant Laundry Manager assists Laundry Manager in training and managing Laundry Staff. Ensures that the Company Laundry Service is run in an organized and efficient manner within a safe and clean environment. Acts as supervisor of all Laundry personnel in the absence of the Laundry Manager. Compensation: US $12.50 per hour, plus incentives.

Laundry Supervisor

Laundry Supervisor ensures that the Company Laundry Service is run in an organized and efficient manner within a safe and clean environment. Acts as supervisor of all Laundry personnel in the absence of the Assistant Laundry Manager or Laundry Manager. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour.

Laundry Attendant

Laundry Attendant ensures that company laundry is properly cleaned, folded, and organized for delivery as efficiently as possible in a safe and clean environment. Assists with other responsibilities as necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Washperson

Washperson tends laundering machines to clean articles such as sheets, towels, pillowcases, blankets, rags, napkins, and aprons. Assists with other responsibilities as necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Central Reservations Agent (Columbia Falls only)

Central Reservations Agents operate from our Columbia Fall, MT call center. Agents use a computerized guest registration system (SMS) to book rooms, tours/transportation, activities, and other travel itinerary needs for guests visiting Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and surrounding areas. Must be able to answer a high volume of calls, e-mails, faxes, and letters efficiently and professionally. Familiarity with the area and previous call center experience a plus, but not required. Compensation: $9.25 per hour.

Engineering

Maintenance Supervisor

Maintenance Supervisor coordinates with Location Management to ensure that all maintenance and engineering for assigned property is addressed in a timely and efficient manner. Oversees location maintenance crew. Performs all necessary repair needs. Compensation: US $17 per hour

Maintenance Associate

Maintenance Associates provide maintenance, engineering, and general support to assigned location. Addresses maintenance calls and work orders for repairs to facilities, equipment and property quickly and efficiently. Compensation: US $9.50 per hour / CDN $15 per hour.

Assistant Garage Mechanic

Garage Mechanics perform maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles, Red Buses, equipment, and machinery. ASE Certification and experience are required. Compensation: US $10 – $17 per hour.

Grounds

Groundskeeper

Groundskeepers maintain grounds including mowing, watering, planting, building, pruning and chainsaw work. Groundskeepers at Glacier Park Lodge are also responsible for maintaining golf course and ensuring it is in proper playing condition. May assist in other areas/duties as needed. Compensation: US $8.75 per hour.

Gardener

Gardeners maintain flower beds, grounds and hanging pots at Glacier Park Lodge and other GPI properties; including planting, continuous watering, weeding, trimming, digging, raking and fertilizing. Compensation: US $8.75per hour.

Transportation

Transportation Manager (Various Locations)

Transportation Manager oversees day-to-day operations of Transportation at the property level. Managerial duties include training, managing, and scheduling of staff, as well as addressing employee and customer concerns and needs. Provides high-volume guest service that requires continuous dealings with public, arranging and booking tours, and providing general information of activities in and around Glacier National Park. Compensation: US Salary DOE, plus incentives.

Tour and Shuttle Driver

Drivers operate Glacier’s historic Red Bus Fleet and/or Shuttle service. Delivers commentary about Glacier National Park’s resources & history to tour passengers in an informed, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable manner. Compensation: US $8.50 per hour, plus tour gratuity and tips.

Transportation Agent

Transportation Agent is a high volume guest service position that requires continuous dealings with public; arranging and booking tours and providing general information of activities in and around Glacier National Park. Compensation: $8.50 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Recycle Coordinator

Recycling Coordinator works closely with Location Managers and Eco-Sense team to organize volunteers for recycling efforts and coordinate & maintain recycle collection and storage areas. Also works at Transportation Desk to assist with guest needs and questions. Compensation: $8.50 per hour, plus tour gratuity.

Warehouse

Data Entry Manager

Data Entry Manager acts as primary trainer for seasonal computer operator positions and as a purchasing agent for the Warehouse/Purchasing Manager. Compensation: US Salary DOE.

Warehouse Administrative Assistant

Performs administrative assistant duties for the Warehouse and merchandise managers; organizing, filing, typing, and answering phones. Maintains retail sales data on daily basis and compiles weekly and monthly sales data. Compensation: US $10.50 per hour.

Retail Pricing Supervisor

Retail Pricing Supervisor oversees small staff of Stock/Pricing Associates to ensure that all merchandise is appropriately unpacked, stocked, priced, and shipped from the Central Warehouse. Confirms merchandise invoices. Compensation: US Salary DOE.

Stock and Pricing Associate

Stock and Pricing Associate ensures that all merchandise is appropriately stocked, priced, and shipped from the Central Warehouse. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour.

Shipping and Receiving Associate

Shipping and Receiving Associate works the loading docks at GPI Central Warehouse. Ensures the proper storage, rotation, and shipping of all Warehouse goods and merchandise. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour.

Warehouse Truck Driver

Warehouse Driver will perform conscientious, safe, courteous driving of warehouse truck according to schedule and routing. Coordinates and assists in loading and unloading supplies to and from truck. Responsible for accurate quantity and condition of all items delivered. Compensation: US $9.95 per hour.

Relief Warehouse Driver

Relief Warehouse Driver will operate as part time warehouse driver, as well as perform Shipping & Receiving Associate duties and other internal Warehouse functions when not driving. Compensation: US $8.40 per hour.

Vending Tech and Relief Driver

Vending Tech and Relief Driver is responsible for maintaining inventory of all company vending and beverage machines and operates as Relief Warehouse Driver while providing conscientious and courteous service and accurate quantity, condition and delivery of all merchandise. Compensation: US $9.55 per hour.

Recycling Technician

Recycling Technician is responsible for the coordination of recycling activities in the warehouse and all GPI properties. Primary responsibilities include, but not limited to communicating with recycle vendors, sorting, baling and logging of recycling products. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour.

Accounting

Night Audit

Night Audit is an overnight position that includes data entry for all Hotel/Motor Inn locations. Consolidates documents and revenues to ensure all operating information is accurate and timely. Compensation: $10 per hour.

General Cashier

General Cashier receives, verifies, records, and delivers all monetary transactions in accordance with company policy and procedure. May assist employees with transactions at cashier window. Compensation: $10 per hour.

Location Accountant

Location Accountant provides payroll, accounting & administrative services at the property level. Coordinates information between location management and Human Resources, Accounting, and Payroll departments. Compensation: $10 per hour, plus incentives.

Golf Shop

Assistant Golf Shop Manager (Glacier Park Lodge Only)

Assistant Golf Shop Manager is responsible for supervision of staff, inventory, and cash control when the Manager is not present. Ensures guests and employees receive proper assistance with apparel, equipment, and instruction. Compensation: US $11.50 per hour, plus incentives.

Golf Shop Host (Glacier Park Lodge Only)

Golf Shop Host is responsible for maintaining golf Pro Shop, carts and equipment while providing guests and employees with proper assistance with golf apparel, equipment, and instruction. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour.

Golf Course Marshall (Glacier Park Lodge Only)

Golf Course Marshall monitors and maintains all areas of and play on the golf course. Provides direction, assists with tournaments and with Pro Shop as necessary. Assists with other duties when necessary. Compensation: US $7.65 per hour.

Other

Location Manager

Location Manager assumes total responsibility for assigned location and staff. Manages hotel to assure efficient and profitable operation. Establishes tone for property. Administers employee personnel policies on location. Delegates authority and assigns responsibilities to department managers. Assistant Location Manager

Assists the Location Manager in assuming total responsibility for assigned location and staff. Manages hotel to ensure efficient and profitable operation. Establishes tone for property. Location Nurse

Location Nurse provides on-site care and first-aid treatment to employees only. The Nurse functions under the care of the Medical Review Officer (MRO) and will work in cooperation with the National Park Service in Emergencies. Compensation: US $13 –15 per hour, plus incentives.
