Hotel Information & Policies
Completed in July 1927, The Prince of Wales Hotel is located on the bluff overlooking picturesque Waterton Lake and the town of Waterton, Alberta. The hotel was built as an extension to the chain of hotels built by the Great Northern Railway near the turn of the century. The notorious winds in Waterton set back construction when the structure blew down twice, but a feat of engineering ensures the building is safe and sound. The building is anchored to its site by means of large cables installed from its loft, through the structure and into the ground itself.
This stately hotel, named after Prince Edward, offers 86 guest rooms, with a variety of bedding arrangements available. Guests have a choice of either mountainside or lakeside views.
