Safety Objectives
Glacier Park, Inc. is privileged and honored to work in partnership with the Blackfeet Nation, Parks Canada, and the U.S. National Park Service to help protect, preserve, and conserve the integrity of the natural, cultural, and historical environments at Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and the surrounding communities for this and future generations. The following are our corporate safety objectives.
• Glacier Park, Inc. will place above all else the safety of our employees and visitors.
• Glacier Park, Inc. will strive to implement good training, a safe working environment, and qualified employees to reduce our injuries reportable to the U.S. Department of Labor to a number equal to or less than what is recognized as normal for our industrial classification.
• Glacier Park, Inc. will strive to implement an employee recovery program to minimize lost work days in cases of injuries or illnesses in the workplace.
• Glacier Park, Inc. will implement a Safety Committee to provide council to the President and senior management team to reduce and eliminate all possible hazards and associated risks; employees will be represented on this committee.
The President and senior management team of Glacier Park, Inc. is committed to ensuring these safety objectives are incorporated into all management plans and business decisions. It is the obligation of managers and supervisors at all levels to consider these safety objectives in their operational decisions, and will encourage the participation of all staff members and seasonal employees to be responsible for incorporating these objectives in all of their actions.
